Set just moments from the shoreline, this garden was designed to sit harmoniously within its coastal setting. In collaboration with Black Rabbit Architecture, we created a landscape that responds to both the home’s modern form and its laid-back seaside location.

Limestone steppers link the front garden, internal courtyard, and backyard, creating a continuous flow between key outdoor spaces. A curved, burnished concrete bench tucked beneath a mature gum tree invites quiet moments of pause and connection – a subtle focal point within the garden.

New lawn and steel edging shape a clean, open backdrop for outdoor living, while Chinese Star Jasmine climbs galvanised mesh along the rear fence, adding softness and privacy. Trough planters provide a layered outlook from the kitchen, offering a framed view of greenery beyond.

Planting has been kept intentional and robust, featuring sculptural species like advanced Frangipani and Fan Aloe. With fully automated irrigation and integrated garden lighting, the space is designed to be lived in with ease – practical, low-maintenance, and enduring.

This is a coastal garden that complements without competing – built with purpose, and grounded in simplicity.
