This front garden didn’t quite reflect the way the family wanted to live, so we reimagined it—not just as a garden, but as a welcoming extension of their home. Our aim was to create a space that feels both beautiful and functional, where form, texture, and natural flow enhance everyday life.
We retained the existing Betula pendulas, preserving their graceful structure and dappled shade. The verandah was retiled to compliment the natural tones of the garden, and a pedestrian path of natural bluestone guides visitors through the space, connecting entrances. A classic white picket fence frames the garden, adding charm and enclosure without feeling restrictive.
A lush lawn provides the family with a soft, usable area for relaxing and play, while structured Buxus spheres, seasonal perennials, and floribunda roses introduce layers of texture, color, and form throughout the year. Thoughtfully placed garden lighting enhances the atmosphere in the evening, highlighting feature plants and guiding movement through the space.
The result is a front garden that is beautiful, practical, and entirely in tune with the home and family.
