How do I obtain a design?
Our design process unfolds in three key stages: Initial Consultation, Concept Development and finalising the design. Throughout this journey, our skilled team remains dedicated to providing top-notch guidance and recommendations to ensure a successful garden design experience.
What takes place during the initial consultation?
Our Director, Jason, will arrange either an on-site or online meeting to delve into your garden aspirations, ideas, and specific requirements. This initial consultation typically lasts between 45 minutes to 1.5 hours. During this time, we aim to understand you, your family, and your envisioned use of the outdoor space. Our objective is to provide you with a glimpse of the potential possibilities for your garden. These initial ideas serve as the foundation for the subsequent concept development. Following the consultation, our team will prepare a design fee proposal for your review. This proposal will outline the costs associated with creating your garden concept, which includes sketches and a master plan. It’s important to note that these fees do not cover any construction costs.
My house is not constructed yet. Is it still possible to have a design developed?
We strongly advise initiating the design and planning of your landscape at the earliest possible stage to ensure seamless coordination between your indoor and outdoor spaces. This early collaboration with your architect or building designer allows for a harmonious integration of both realms, resulting in a cohesive and well-thought-out living environment.
What is involved in developing the concepts?
Upon your approval of the design fee proposal, our team will proceed with a thorough site analysis. This entails taking precise measurements and capturing photographs of your property to gain a comprehensive understanding of the site’s characteristics. Subsequently, we will embark on the creative exploration of design options. Once we have crafted a design concept that aligns with your requirements and vision, we will present it to you in the form of a concept plan. Your feedback and input will be invaluable at this stage to ensure that the design resonates with your expectations. What is involved in producing the final design?
What is the typical timeframe for completing a design?
The entire process, spanning from the acceptance of the design quote to the delivery of the final plans, typically encompasses a duration of 12 to 14 weeks. Please keep in mind that the specific timeline may be influenced by factors such as the current workload of our team, potential feedback necessary from both the local council and our clients, as well as the occurrence of holiday periods, including public holidays and the Christmas break.
I have a limited space available. Can a design still be created for it?
Certainly, we possess extensive experience in designing a wide range of spaces, accommodating all sizes.
What will be the price of my design?
It’s important to note that each design quote is unique and tailored to your specific needs. The design fee is calculated based on a variety of factors, including the size of your property, any topographical features such as slopes, the intricacy of the design elements chosen, and the amount of time required to develop your master plan. During the initial consultation, we will collaborate with you to establish the scope of your design project, and based on this, we will provide a customized fee proposal that accurately reflects your requirements.
I have my finalplan. What is the next step?
Upon the completion and finalisation of your design plan, we will ensure you have copies of the plan. We will then provide a quote from our Construction team.
